STANDARD POODLES WILL TRY AND TAKE OVER YOUR HOME;
Look out, your home is now not your own any more.
There goes your chair in front of the TV..... and the remote control....
Master of the house he /she will become ....
Some poodles will try this as some are stronger in nature than others.
It's funny to me with having 3 standard poodles  all trying to get onto the same chair as me. I must say I am never alone watching TV , so I have given up over the years, but only one at a time  LOL.
Solve problem;
Don't let them get onto the furniture to start with, bad habit. Make sure he/she has a place in or around you / family of there own. Mat ,bed , what ever just not your chair and good luck you will need it.

Remember your Standard Poodle is part of the family .
They don't like to miss out on anything that is going on in and around the family.
Remember poodles are very intelligent breed and this is why you properly have one in the first place.
Companion dogs they are, poodles want to learn all the time like a 2 to 4 your old child. Put there paws into everything, teach them, teach them
all the time and show your standard poodle new places to walk and explore  for there brains are for thinking and solving problems. Poodles think like humans and will mimic your behaviour , trust me on this I have lived with them for 30 years. It is such a game for them to out smart the human at every turn.

Dog Obedience;
Solve problem = give them the book to read.
 Hey " that's the easy way out you know. Dog trains out there , to who  they may be? , tell us poodles are the dogs  easiest to train.What, yes al-right then in some ways, remembering problem solving ," no " not the psychotherapist problem.
" I think they would if they could-  give it a go "
Poodles do as most dogs do they sense our emotions and acted  a pone them and all most seems intuitive responses to what is going on around  people or you in the home.
  • Stress can cause behaviour changes. Solve it by = taking care and look out for changes and note what is going on in your, life or  house hold.

This is Nero and he loves to up set cats when ever he can. And when the master is out, he turns on the computer  and helps himself , on cats 101
Solve problem = put your computer away

Work hard for the first year of there life and the rest will be easy.
Standard Poodles are full of personalty and so much fun to be with and remember you can teach poodles all most anything you want them to be.

THE WALK;
I always emphasize the importance of the walk is that I believe it plays a vital role in you and your poodles relationship. For your poodle, this is a wonderful opportunity to be with you - something that will really make him a happy. But you have to play your part too. ?The time you spend walking has to be about you and the poodle. If you're talking on your cell phone or texting or consumed with stressful thoughts about something else, your poodle will know that he does not have your attention. And by focusing on the walk, you will also be doing yourself a favour, because spending a period of time every day being mindfully aware and focused on the moment will do wonders for your peace of mind.
 Your Poodle wants to please and is eager for a relationship . What you need to do isn't complicated, but it must be sincere, Your relationship must be built on a foundation of Honesty,Integrity, and Loyalty. ( Trust Me -- Poodles will sense that the energy is wrong if you try to Fake It!)
Try to understand what poodles want -- not want you think they want.

The Standard Poodle needs to be taken on a daily walk. Although they adore water and love to go for walks, Poodles are not demanding as far as exercise goes, so long as they get their walk in. They however, will keep in better spirits and be fitter if given regular opportunities to run and play off the leash in a safe area. The Standard retains its sporting instincts, has great stamina, and needs more activity than the smaller varieties.
